Description
Join me in the beautiful village of Pernes-les-Fontaines in Provence this Spring. Pernes is a walled Medieval village and is famous for it’s fountains, robust market, flower lined cobbled streets and shops. Our workshop will take place in a charming village house that is within walking distance to everything. The house has been tastefully renovated with modern amenities including AC. All of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms and high quality linens.
During our daily cooking class you will learn many classic French dishes from the region. Joining me will be chef Claire Laverdure. She grew up in the Drôme Provençal region and she will be sharing some of her favorite Provençale dishes with us. During the workshop there will be a wine tasting by local wine makers, and an hour long French language class with Thibault Rocheblave. Thibault is native of Nîmes. He has created a unique approach that blends culture, conversation, with a touch of café life. No text books, no pressure-just real French, the way it’s truly spoken. We will end our adventure with a feast to celebrate our culinary successes!
Lodging
All of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms with high quality linens, and AC.
What’s Included
Tickets include lodging for 6.5 days. All food, and wine, and one cooking class per day, 1 hour language class, wine tasting with local wine makers.
Getting there
The closest airport is the Marseille Provence Airport. There is a taxi stand at the airport. It is a 50 minute drive to the house. You can also take the train right from Charles de Gaulle to the Avignon TGV station which is 30 minutes from the house. Taxis and Uber is available at the station. There is free parking at the house if you choose to rent a car.
