In France, apéro, short for apéritif, is that sacred hour or so before dinner where you can relax with a cocktail and a few tasty snacks. It’s not at all about getting drunk, it’s about spending time together and preparing the palate for the meal to follow.
We will spend our afternoon “très sophistiquée” preparing and enjoying three scrumptious hors d’oeuvres that should forever elevate your hosting game: Buckwheat Blinis with smoked salmon, crème fraîche, capers & red onion, Apple & Montasio Cheese Fricos + Walnut Pesto Tartines.
…and to drink: an old-school variation on a Manhattan made instead with gin called a Martinez–which went on to inspire the Martini as we know it today!
À votre santé!
